hallway
Between-rooms walkway
A hallway is a corridor or passageway in a building, typically connecting rooms or leading to an entrance: The bedrooms are down the hallway on the left.
In American English, hallway and hall are often interchangeable for interior passages, though hall can also mean a large room for gatherings.
