Custom car fabricators
Coachworks refers to a facility where vehicle bodies are designed and built, especially custom or luxury automobile bodies fitted onto chassis.
The term dates from when coach builders crafted horse-drawn carriages and later adapted to early automobiles.
Today it appears mainly in company names and vintage car contexts: The Rolls-Royce was fitted with bespoke coachworks.
