centroids

Centers of mass

Centroids are center points of geometric shapes or data clusters.

In geometry, a centroid is the point where a shape would balance perfectly—the center of mass of a triangle, polygon, or three-dimensional object.

In statistics and data science, centroids represent the average position of clustered data points: The algorithm assigns each observation to the nearest centroid.

The singular is centroid.
