calendars

Year at glance

Calendars is the plural of calendar—systems for organizing time into days, weeks, months, and years.

Different cultures have developed their own: the Gregorian calendar dominates international use, while Jewish, Islamic, and Chinese calendars serve religious and cultural purposes.

Calendars are also the physical or digital objects displaying these systems: wall calendars, desk calendars, I'll check my calendar.

As a verb, to calendar something is to schedule it: The hearing has been calendared for June.
