bus line
Public transport path
A bus line is a route that buses travel regularly, or the company that operates such routes.
The term refers both to the path itself—The number 7 bus line runs through downtown—and to the transit service: Three different bus lines serve this neighborhood.
In American usage, bus line often names the operating company, while British English tends toward bus route for the path and bus company for the operator.
