brake line
Stopping fluid pathway
A brake line is a tube or hose that carries hydraulic fluid from the brake pedal mechanism to the brakes at each wheel.
When you press the pedal, fluid travels through the brake lines to activate the brakes.
Brake lines are typically metal tubing with flexible rubber sections near the wheels to accommodate suspension movement.
A leaking or corroded brake line is a serious safety hazard: The mechanic found a rusty brake line and replaced it immediately.
