bass clef

Staff's lower marker

The bass clef is a musical symbol that indicates the pitch of notes on a staff, placing F below middle C on the fourth line from the bottom.

It is also called the F clef because its two dots bracket that F line.

Music written for lower-pitched instruments and voices—such as cello, bass guitar, trombone, and baritone singers—typically uses the bass clef.

The left hand part in piano music is almost always written in bass clef.
