Endless blade tool
A band-saw is a power saw with a continuous looped blade running over two or more wheels, used for cutting curves and irregular shapes in wood, metal, or other materials.
The blade forms a band—hence the name.
Band-saws range from small tabletop models for woodworking to large industrial machines for cutting meat or timber: He used the band-saw to cut the curved legs of the chair.
