asphalted

Given blacktop treatment

Asphalted means covered or paved with asphalt—the dark, tar-like substance used for road surfaces.

The term appears most often describing roads, driveways, or other surfaces that have been given an asphalt coating: The newly asphalted parking lot gleamed in the rain.

Less common than "paved" in American English.
