arc minute
Degree's sixtieth part
An arc minute is one-sixtieth of a degree, used to measure angles and apparent sizes in the sky.
Astronomers use arc minutes to describe how large celestial objects appear: The moon spans about 31 arc minutes.
Also called a minute of arc or arcminute.
Each arc minute divides into 60 arc seconds.
