agoraphobia
Fear of outside
Agoraphobia is intense fear of situations where escape might be difficult or help unavailable—crowded spaces, open areas, public transportation, or being outside the home alone.
The condition often develops after panic attacks, leading people to avoid places where attacks occurred.
Severe cases may confine someone entirely to their home: Her agoraphobia kept her housebound for years.
