ager
Makes things older
An ager is something or someone that ages—a factor that causes aging or a device that accelerates it.
In winemaking or cheesemaking, an ager is a vessel or room where products mature: The cheese ager maintains precise humidity.
The word also appears in compounds: wage-ager, teen-ager.
More commonly encountered as a suffix than as a standalone word.
