Tangerine

Central Florida locale

A tangerine is a small, sweet citrus fruit with loose, easily peeled skin, closely related to the mandarin orange.

The name also refers to the deep orange-red color of its rind: a tangerine sunset, tangerine lipstick.

As an adjective, it describes this vivid hue: She wore a tangerine scarf.
