Shamir

Shamir is a Hebrew name meaning "thorn" or "flint," most notably associated with Yitzhak Shamir, Israeli prime minister in the 1980s and 1990s.

In cryptography, Shamir refers to Adi Shamir, co-inventor of RSA encryption, or to Shamir's Secret Sharing—a method for dividing sensitive data into parts that must be combined to reconstruct the original.
