Rio Grande
Texas-Mexico boundary
Rio Grande is the river forming much of the border between Texas and Mexico, running from Colorado to the Gulf of Mexico.
In Mexico it's called Río Bravo.
The name is Spanish for "big river." They crossed the Rio Grande at night.
The river figures prominently in discussions of U.S.-Mexico border policy and immigration.
