Crater Lake
Mazama's flooded remains
Crater Lake is a deep blue lake in southern Oregon, formed in the caldera of a collapsed volcano.
At nearly 2,000 feet deep, it is the deepest lake in the United States.
The lake and surrounding area form Crater Lake National Park: We drove up to Crater Lake in August.
