Pacific Rim
Trans-oceanic trading zone
The Pacific Rim is the collective term for the countries and regions bordering the Pacific Ocean—including East Asia, Southeast Asia, Australasia, and the western coasts of North and South America.
The term often appears in discussions of trade, economics, and geopolitics: Pacific Rim economies, Pacific Rim trade agreements.
It emphasizes the ocean as a zone of connection rather than separation.
