Acrobat Reader opens

PDFs is the plural of PDF (Portable Document Format), a file type that preserves a document's layout, fonts, and images regardless of what software or device opens it.

PDFs are ubiquitous for contracts, forms, manuals, and anything meant to look the same everywhere: Sign these PDFs and send them back, I downloaded all the PDFs from the course website. (Lowercase pdfs is informal.)
