P-51 Mustang
World War warbird
The P-51 Mustang was an American single-seat fighter aircraft of World War II, widely considered one of the war's finest fighters.
Its long range allowed it to escort bombers deep into enemy territory, and it dominated the skies over Europe in the war's final years.
Mustangs remained in military service through the Korean War and became popular among civilian collectors and air racers.
