race course
Where runners compete
A race course is a track or circuit where races take place, typically for horses or motor vehicles.
The term is more common in British English, where American English tends toward racetrack.
A race course includes not just the track itself but the surrounding grounds and facilities: We spent the afternoon at the race course.
