F-18
Carrier-based fighter jet
The F-18, officially the F/A-18 Hornet, is a twin-engine combat jet used primarily by the U.S.
Navy and Marine Corps.
The "F/A" designation indicates both fighter and attack capabilities—air-to-air combat and ground strikes.
The Super Hornet (F/A-18E/F) is a larger, upgraded variant.
The Blue Angels flight demonstration team flies F-18s.
