OpenOffice

Open-source productivity software

OpenOffice is a free, open-source office software suite that emerged as an alternative to Microsoft Office.

It includes programs for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and databases.

Originally developed by Sun Microsystems, it spawned LibreOffice after Oracle acquired Sun in 2010.

I use OpenOffice because I can't afford Microsoft Office.
