Cloud productivity suite
Office 365 is Microsoft's subscription-based suite of productivity software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, delivered through cloud computing.
Unlike earlier versions sold as one-time purchases, Office 365 requires ongoing payment for continued access.
The name has largely been replaced by Microsoft 365, though Office 365 remains common in casual reference: We switched to Office 365 last year.
