Mount Denali

North America's peak

Mount Denali is the highest peak in North America, rising 20,310 feet in the Alaska Range.

The mountain was officially called Mount McKinley from 1917 until 2015, when the federal government restored the Alaska Native name meaning "the high one." Climbers and Alaskans often simply call it Denali: We could see Denali from Anchorage on clear days.
