MiG-29
Russian combat jet
The MiG-29 is a Soviet-designed fighter jet, developed by the Mikoyan design bureau during the Cold War.
NATO gave it the reporting name "Fulcrum." It entered service in 1982 as a lightweight air-superiority fighter to counter American F-15s and F-16s.
The aircraft remains in active use by Russia and numerous export customers: Ukrainian MiG-29s have seen combat since 2022.
