Lucky Luciano

Lucky Luciano was the nickname of Charles Luciano (1897–1962), an Italian-American mobster considered the father of modern organized crime in the United States.

He helped establish the Commission, a governing body for the American Mafia, and modernized the organization along corporate lines.

His nickname reportedly came from his survival of a brutal attack that left him with a distinctive facial droop.

He rose to power like Lucky Luciano.
