Lucidity is clearness of thought or expression.
A lucid argument is easy to follow; a lucid explanation makes something understandable.
The word also describes mental clarity, especially when it's intermittent or unexpected: She had moments of lucidity between bouts of confusion.
A lucid dream is one where the dreamer knows they're dreaming and may control the experience.
