Charles Lindbergh

Solo Atlantic crosser

Charles Lindbergh was an American aviator who became world-famous in 1927 for completing the first solo nonstop transatlantic flight, from New York to Paris.

The kidnapping and murder of his infant son in 1932 became one of the most sensationalized crimes of the century.

Lindbergh later drew controversy for his isolationist views and praise of Nazi Germany before World War II.
