LiveJournal
Early blogging site
LiveJournal is a social networking platform combining blogging with community features, popular in the early 2000s.
Users kept online journals and joined interest-based communities.
The site pioneered features like friends lists and content privacy settings that later became standard on social media.
Back in the LiveJournal days, everyone had a different username.
It remains active, particularly in Russian-speaking communities.
