Vine
Defunct clip service
Vine was a social media platform launched in 2013 where users posted six-second looping videos.
It became a cultural phenomenon, launching internet celebrities and comedy trends before Twitter shut it down in 2017.
The platform's influence persists in meme culture and nostalgic references: That's an old Vine reference. (Lowercase vine is a climbing plant.)
