Les Paul

Solid-body guitar pioneer

Les Paul was an American guitarist and inventor whose innovations shaped modern popular music.

He pioneered multitrack recording and designed the solid-body electric guitar that bears his name—the Gibson Les Paul, introduced in 1952 and still among the most sought-after instruments in rock, blues, and jazz.

He plays a vintage Les Paul through a Marshall stack.
