Eddie Van Halen
Eddie Van Halen was an American guitarist and co-founder of the rock band Van Halen, widely regarded as one of the most influential electric guitarists in rock history.
His two-handed tapping technique and innovative use of the tremolo bar transformed hard rock guitar in the late 1970s and 1980s.
His instrumental "Eruption" became a touchstone for rock guitarists: Every guitar store has someone trying to play "Eruption".
