Dual-coil guitar pickups
Humbuckers are a type of electric guitar pickup designed to reduce unwanted electrical hum.
They use two coils wired in opposite polarity, which cancels out interference while preserving the guitar signal.
Humbuckers produce a warmer, thicker tone than single-coil pickups, making them popular in rock, jazz, and blues: a Les Paul with humbuckers, I swapped out the single-coils for humbuckers.
