Kegel exercises
Internal muscle squeezes
Kegel exercises are repetitive contractions of the pelvic floor muscles, performed to strengthen the muscles that support the bladder, uterus, and bowels.
Named after the gynecologist who popularized them, they're prescribed to treat urinary incontinence, improve sexual function, and aid postpartum recovery: My doctor recommended Kegels after childbirth.
The exercises are invisible to others and can be done anywhere.
