Jimmy Cliff

Jimmy Cliff is a Jamaican singer, songwriter, and actor who helped bring reggae music to international audiences.

His 1972 film *The Harder They Come* and its soundtrack—featuring "Many Rivers to Cross" and the title track—introduced reggae to Western listeners before Bob Marley achieved wider fame.

He was the first reggae musician inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
