Pat Boone

Pat Boone is an American singer and actor who rose to fame in the 1950s and 1960s, known for his clean-cut image and sanitized cover versions of rhythm and blues songs originally performed by Black artists.

His wholesome persona made rock and roll palatable to white mainstream audiences during a racially segregated era.

Boone later became associated with conservative Christian activism and authored inspirational books.

Pat Boone's version of "Tutti Frutti" outsold Little Richard's original.
