Blue Mountains

Eucalyptus haze range

Blue Mountains refers to several mountain ranges worldwide, most notably in eastern Australia (New South Wales) and Jamaica.

The name comes from the bluish haze created by eucalyptus oil vapor or atmospheric conditions when viewing distant ridges.

The Australian Blue Mountains are a UNESCO World Heritage site known for dramatic sandstone cliffs and deep valleys: We spent the weekend hiking in the Blue Mountains.
