Henry Morgan
Caribbean sea raider
Henry Morgan was a Welsh privateer and admiral who raided Spanish settlements in the Caribbean during the 17th century.
His attacks on Panama and other Spanish colonial targets made him wealthy and famous—or infamous, depending on perspective.
Morgan later became Lieutenant Governor of Jamaica.
The name now appears on a brand of spiced rum: Captain Morgan.
