Greek hero
Ancient legendary warrior
A Greek hero is a figure from ancient Greek mythology, typically of divine or semi-divine parentage, who performs extraordinary feats: Hercules, Achilles, Odysseus.
The term extends to protagonists of Greek tragedy.
More loosely, it describes anyone resembling such figures—brave, larger than life, often tragically flawed: He saw himself as a Greek hero battling fate.
