Telemachus

Patient prince awaiting

Telemachus is the son of Odysseus and Penelope in Greek mythology, best known from Homer's *Odyssey*.

He grows from a passive youth into a man who helps his father reclaim their home from the suitors pursuing his mother.

The name has come to represent a son searching for an absent father or coming of age in a father's shadow: a Telemachus figure in modern literature.
