General Zod
General Zod is a supervillain from the Superman comics and films—a Kryptonian military leader imprisoned in the Phantom Zone who escapes to seek vengeance and world domination.
The character became iconic through the 1980 film *Superman II*, where Terence Stamp's imperious demand Kneel before Zod! entered popular culture as a joking assertion of authority.
