Frontier
Denver-based airline company
Frontier originally meant the border region of a country, especially the edge facing another territory.
In American usage, it came to mean the advancing boundary of settlement—the zone between established society and wilderness: frontier towns, frontier justice.
The frontier closed when no more unsettled land remained.
Figuratively, frontier describes the outer edge of knowledge or achievement: the frontiers of science, the final frontier of space.
