Florence Cathedral
Tuscan Gothic landmark
Florence Cathedral is the main church of Florence, Italy, officially named Santa Maria del Fiore.
Its massive red-tiled dome, designed by Filippo Brunelleschi in the 15th century, dominates the city skyline and remains one of the largest masonry domes ever built.
The cathedral complex includes the baptistery and Giotto's bell tower.
