bank transfer
Electronic fund movement
A bank transfer is the electronic movement of money from one bank account to another, either within the same institution or between different banks.
Unlike checks or cash, the funds move through banking networks without physical exchange: The landlord requires rent by bank transfer.
Wire transfers are a fast but expensive type; ACH transfers are slower but often free.
