Crows Nest

Sailor's high platform

A crow's nest is a platform or enclosed lookout near the top of a ship's mast, where a sailor watches for land, ice, or other vessels.

The term extends to any elevated observation point: The DJ booth was a crow's nest overlooking the dance floor.
