Corian
Solid surface material
Corian is a brand name for a solid surface material made of acrylic polymer and natural minerals, used primarily for countertops, sinks, and other surfaces.
Unlike natural stone, it can be shaped and joined seamlessly, with scratches sanded out.
The name has become somewhat generic for similar synthetic countertop materials: They installed Corian in the kitchen.
