Coliseum
Ancient gladiator venue
A coliseum is a large stadium or arena for sports, concerts, or other public events.
The word comes from the Colosseum, the ancient Roman amphitheater, but modern coliseums are typically enclosed venues: The concert at the coliseum sold out in minutes.
The spelling with an "e" distinguishes generic arenas from the Roman original.
