3D imaging
Volumetric visual capture
3D imaging is the capture or creation of images that represent three spatial dimensions—height, width, and depth—rather than flat two-dimensional pictures.
The technology appears in medical scanning (CT, MRI), computer graphics, mapping, and photography. 3D imaging allows viewers to perceive or manipulate objects as they exist in space: The surgeon studied the 3D imaging before the procedure.
