Woodies is the plural of woody, with several applications.
Station wagons with wood-paneled sides were called woodies, now mostly collector's items: The surf culture of the 1960s made woodies iconic.
Woodies can also be woodpeckers, or in vulgar slang, erections.
A surfing or car enthusiast might attend a woodies meetup at the beach.
