woodiness
Like bark texture
Woodiness is the quality of being woody—having the texture, appearance, or characteristics of wood.
In botany, it describes the degree to which plant stems have developed hard, fibrous tissue: The woodiness of the stalks indicated the herbs had been left too long.
Vegetables past their prime develop unwanted woodiness, becoming tough and fibrous rather than tender.
